<Please Note I have not played the original Borderlands so the facts may not be accurate, and I unsure if the manufacturer founders are men or women so I guessed. If you see something wrong correct me and I will add it ASAP>
Recent echos have been found in major warehouses of the weapons manufacturers. They all say one thing 'If you want to see them alive, come to the old Dahl warehouse in Sanctuary Hole.' You don't know what is meant by 'them' but you soon do as Lilith contacts you of the kidnappings of Mrs Tediore, Mr Vladof, Mr Torgue, Mrs Maliwan, Mr Dahl, Mr Jakobs and the inheritor of Hyperion who renamed herself as Miss Hyperion. You go down to the warehouse but see the hole has changed completely into something like a hell hole. There are whirring clogs and spikes and mechanics, and at there's a massive spotlight shining into the hole revealing the logo of Borderlands 'Atlas manufacturer'. You go descend to the warehouse and see the owners of the companies tied to chairs. Then Mr Atlas sends out a mind control signal, making the owners of each company attack you one at a time. Mr Vladof gunzerks 2 legendary Vladof miniguns, Mrs Tediore shoots a legendary Tediore SMG at you, Mr Torgue shoots a legendary Torgue assault rifle at you, Mrs Maliwan jumps up and snipes you with a legendary Maliwan sniper rifle of slag element, then switches to a legendary Maliwan railgun of fire element. Mr Dahl uses a legendary assault rifle, Miss Hyperion uses a legendary shotgun and Mr Jakobs wields a legendary revolver. All of these items have a 5% drop rate so good luck getting them! :D You defeat the company founders, who then snap out of the mind control and join your side.
Finally Mr Atlas jumps in and reveals he's been 'altered' and evolves into a massive behemoth duel wielding an UBER legendary (0.1% drop rate) Atlas minigun of ICE element and a legendary Atlas minigun of fire element.
Of course if you defeat him with the help of the company owners and get the drops congrats! You have the only 2 atlas weapons ever made and released in Borderlands 2.
