I have found that in playing borderlands we all end up with a stock pile of eridum. The fact that you keep finding it even after you have purchased all the upgrades makes sense(because of the mining), but what are we to do with it now? :blleaking:
I have an idea. Perhaps a new vending machine could be a good dlc. A machine and a new npc(non playable character) to run it, maybe even have a few missions to unlock the machines usability. The machine would accept eridum (an increasing amount every time. Maybe no spending cap?), designation of a gun (the gun would have to be a straight damage weapon with none or only white word bonus features like critical damage bonus or melee damage. No elemental, no special game weapons.), And donating a shield (a spike or nova for elemental damage, amp for straight damage boost, absorb for a clip ammo increase, an adaptive shield for random elemental damage, maybe even use relics for higher levels of these effects) By spending the eridum, donating a gun, and breaking down a shield, the machine would allow you to add your own elemental damage, straight damage, or clip capacity increase to a weapon. You could also name this weapon once you are finished making it. :blrpg:
Every gamer is only allowed one custom weapon at a time. In order to make a new one the old one must be turned back into the machine to be destroyed. This would be a weapon with a new color designation(indigo, chartreuse, ect.) that doesn't take up an inventory slot(like the rare loot relic), can be shown in a trade window but not traded, and can not be dropped. :blomg!:
This would give all the bl2 gamers something to do with all that left over erdium. As well as new missions and story line.:bllol:
I must admit, I had hoped to see a new machine in this game, but to my dismay there is none. So I have come up with a npc/machine idea(Call in's Custom Cannons... that's me.. I'm Colin). But would understand if they wanted to give the npc role to the drifter that shows up in town every once in a while and gives you a gun if you talk to him. I do like that npc. The tribute to that kid went to infinity and beyond in my book. Props to the development team for that.
If the crafting machine is too much/tough to add (people that have the dlc and those who don't playing in the same game), maybe just a wandering npc(like the drifter) that can be found at random, anywhere safe (towns, etc.) that offers you the option to customize a weapon in exchange for a ride somewhere. Though that would make it a much smaller, less enjoyable dlc.:blsad:
I would appreciate constructive feed back from anyone... or a job, gearbox.. I have ideas a plenty.:blpushoff:
