Goliath vault hunter class

Some want to see a gunzerker in Borderlands 3, others a psycho, or a general all-melee class. Why not both? Or the one you like, anyway.
This idea came to me yesterday and I haven't thought it through that much. Still, a Goliath class is pretty straight forward.
Krieg, being a psycho, wasn't that much of a surprise skill-wise. But he was arguably one of the most enjoyable classes to date. So, with the right skills, quotes, game changer goodies and back story, a Goliath could be as good as Krieg. So, lets see what we have so far:

Name: Hermes
Race: Human mutant
Faction: Bandit
Origin: "Goliath Place" (actual name of village), Planet <insert planet>

Back story:
Hermes wasn't smart. Nor pretty. Nor funny. Just a goliath like all others in the village. He enjoyed the simple things, like walking, shooting rude people who killed his friends and took their guns, or killing his friends himself.
But all that was about to change. A messenger informed him that Ulysses was killed by Hyperion, while trying to get back from Pandora. After Hermes ripped the messenger in half, he ate some cake. A few days later, he realized what the messenger had told him, and decided to punish Hyperion. He managed to get to <wherever Borderlands 3 will take place>, joined the other Vault Hunters and voila: A backstory.

Character/personality: Hermes knows, like all goliaths, that once the mask comes off, he does bad things. Unlike other goliaths, however, he has honed the ability to put the mask back on. So, depending on whether the mask is on or not, Hermes can either like puppies and cakes, or enjoy a bath in the blood of, well, just about anything that is capable of bleeding.

Action Skill: "SO GODDAMN ANGRY!". Goliath Rage Mode. No weapons. Melee bonus, damage resistance, full health restored. You also get extreme leaping ability (maybe aim+shoot=jump, like Krieg's aim+shoot=throw axe).

Melee weapon: A punch.
Melee override: An uppercut, with (lots of) knock back.

(Major) Game Changer Skill:
Since Krieg has Release the Beast, which is more or less treated like a replacement of his action skill (though it merely enhances it, since it is practically the same thing: axe raging), Hermes could have one as well.
The main thing goliaths do is dual wield guns, and rage. So, rage would be his action skill, and gunzerking would be the game changer that replaces the action skill. So, you get some skills that boost his action skill (damage, duration, cooldown etc), and you can choose to replace raging with gunzerking.

Skill Trees:
"Prepare for die": Melee and action skill boosts.
"Killing Time!": Weapon and grenade skill boosting. Damage, reload, elements etc
"I'M UNSTOPPABLE!": Survivability skills. Health and shield capacity and regeneration, FFYL, movement speed, damage reduction.

Quotes:
Just like Krieg was given the generic psycho quotes, along with fitting ones, Hermes could keep some iconic goliath quotes, along with new, funny/mad ones.
Goliath Enemy Quotes
I'm probably going to add some new ones.

So, what do you think? Is there a place for a goliath in the Vault Hunter Pantheon?
As I said I haven't thought this through, so please add your ideas/suggestions.
