Hey folks. I've been doing some pondering over the last few days and came up with a rough concept for a new class, based on the Eridian Guardians from the first game. I know others have done something similar to this before (take a look at Iggy's for example: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/sh...d.php?t=151953), but I wanted to see if I could put my own spin on it. I haven't come up with Class Mods or call outs yet, so right now it's just as bare-bones as it can get: action skill and skill trees. So take a look, let me know what you think!
Class Name: Eridian Guardian
Character Name: Spectre
Action Skill: Eridian Rain
--Spectre shoots five orbs into the air that home in on targets, dealing slag and shock damage. Spectre is immobile while Eridian Rain is being used, but takes 50% damage reduction while it is active. The homing orbs are smart and will avoid ceilings and cover.
--Spectre shoots one orb each second.
--Cooldown is 20 seconds.

Tier 1
Blood: increases shield recharge rate, decreases shield recharge delay (+3/6/9/12/15% rate, -4/8/12/16/20% delay)
Mercurial Blaster: Elemental effect damage and chance are increased when Eridian Rain is on cooldown (+4/8/12/16/20% damage, +5/10/15/20/25% chance)
Tier 2
Zigging, Zagging: increases movement speed while strafing (+6/12/18/24/30% movement speed)
The Descent: increases melee damage; increases melee speed while Eridian Rain is on cooldown (+3/6/9/12/15% damage, +5/10/15/20/25% melee speed)
Tier 3
Thunder Storm: increases fire rate while Eridian Rain is on cooldown (+6/12/15/24/30% fire rate)
Evisceration: melee attacks cause a bleed (non-elemental DoT) effect; bleed damage is based on the user's level
Sidewinder: Kill Skill: killing an enemy grants a Sidewinder stack that increases movement speed and shield capacity; maximum 20 stacks; stacks begin to decay if the user has not killed an enemy in a while (+0.4/0.8/1.2/1.6/2.0% movement speed per stack, +0.1/0.2/0.3/0.4/0.5% shield capacity per stack)
Tier 4
Skin: taking damage increases movement speed and gun damage (+4/8/12/16/20% movement speed, +1/2/3/4/5% gun damage)
Stampeding Spatter: after using Eridian Rain, any orbs that were unable to find an enemy return to the user and create a protective shield; orbs damage melee attackers and seek shooters; every time an orb does damage or seeks a shooter, it is removed from the protective shield; maximum of 3 protective orbs at any time
Tier 5
Aim for the Chest: increases critical hit damage and recoil reduction (+2/4/6/8/10% critical hit damage, +4/8/12/16/20% recoil reduction)
Tier 6
Angelic Ruin: when the player's shield is depleted, the shield sends out a Daze Nova, damaging and dazing all nearby enemies

Atlascide: increases gun damage, but lowers maximum health (+3/6/9/12/15% gun damage, -3/6/9/12/15% maximum health)
Gargoyle: increases accuracy and recoil reduction while crouched (+6/12/18/24/30% accuracy, +4/8/12/16/20% recoil reduction)
Tier 2
Ball Blaster: damage done by orbs heals the user and allies (5/10/15/20/25% damage dealt returned as health)
Xenophobe: player creates less threat against enemies; increases magazine size (-10/20/30/40/50% threat generated, +3/6/9/12/15% magazine size)
Tier 3
Heart: Kill Skill: killing an enemy with Eridian Rain regenerates ammo for all weapons for a few seconds (+0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5% maximum ammo regenerated per second)
Breathing Room: using Eridian Rain creates a Knockback Nova, damaging all enemies and pushing them away from the player
Enclave: increases movement speed and hip-fire accuracy when shields are depleted (+6/12/18/24/30% movement speed, +7/14/21/28/35% hip-fire accuracy)
Tier 4
Promontory: the user can float for a short time after jumping; gun damage and accuracy are increased while in the air (+0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8/1 second floating time, +2/4/6/8/10% gun damage in the air, +2/4/6/8/10% gun accuracy in the air)
Cannon: Eridian Rain can be used in Fight For Your Life
Tier 5
Steady Stream: Melee Override: the user shoots a beam over energy that ignores cover; slags and damages the first enemy it hits; 15 second cooldown
Take Root: increases gun damage and elemental effect chance while standing still (+2/4/6/8/10% gun damage, +4/8/12/16/20% elemental effect chance)
Tier 6
The Destroyer: adds massive explosive damage to the orbs fired during Eridian Rain; user loses the inherent damage reduction while using Eridian Rain

Wave Blaster: increases elemental resistances (+7/14/21/28/35% elemental resistance)
Bone: increases shield capacity (+5/10/15/20/25% shield capacity)
Tier 2
Blue Blood: increases the length of slag and shock DoTs (+4/8/12/16/20% slag length, +5/10/15/20/25% shock DoT length)
Lightning: increases the speed of the orbs fired during Eridian Rain (+8/16/24/32/40% orb speed)
Tier 3
Get Up, Stand Up: Kill Skill: killing an enemy with slag or shock decreases the cooldown on Eridian Rain (-0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8/1.0 seconds of cooldown)
Second Shield: while using Eridian Rain, the user gains a bullet reflection shield that has a 40% chance to reflect bullets back at enemies
Something Old, Something New: Kill Skill: killing an enemy increases reload speed and greatly increases weapon swap speed for a few seconds (+4/8/12/16/20% reload speed, +9/18/27/36/45% swap speed)
Tier 4
Clip-On Clip: increases reload speed; greatly increases reload speed if the magazine is empty (+5/10/15/20/25% reload speed, +10/20/30/40/50% reload speed for empty clip)
Amelioration: when shields are full, the user gains health regeneration (+1/2/3/4/5% health regeneration)
Tier 5
Ghosts of the Vault: Kill Skill: killing an enemy causes the player to deal constant slag and shock damage to nearby enemies (rank 1/2/3/4/5 slag and shock damage)
Tier 6
Mega Cannon: increases number of orbs fired during Eridian Rain by two; adds splash damage to orbs; increases cooldown by 5 seconds
