Her life as a pup was simple and easy going, her former life was spent on Isolus where she lived with her master, Dr. Gladwell, she served as the doctor's guard dog and originally had the name Clover. The Dr. was researching into brain transplantation and whether or not a biological brain could be placed into that of a machine. Progress was going well until Hyperion executives caught wind of the project and deduced that life as a machine could lead to immortality as a machine cannot develop diseases and is incapable of aging. Hyperion raided the doctors lab and demanded her research, Clover acted on instinct and defended her master, Hyperion retaliated, badly, and as a result of the skirmish Clover was left mortally wounded. Hyperion departed with everything, sans several beakers and a beaten down husk of a robot.
In a moment of weakness the doctor performed a rush transplant on Clover and the husk, to her surprise the operation was a success but unstable. At first she was Jovial but then the reality sunk in, if Hyperion were willing to do kill to get a sheet of paper then what would they do to get their hands on a successful patient.
To protect Clover and herself she concluded on relocating to the most inhospitable place known across the galaxy. Pandora. A place no one knows who you are or what you've done.
On Pandora Clover had undergone several upgrades and had her appearance changed to blend into the Pandoran decor, her intelligence had improved as she adapted to her new body and had also been taught basic English, the doctor assumed a new name and also changed her appearance.
They lived somewhat peacefully in a small settlement, where Gladwell worked as a small 'no questions asked' surgeon and Clover resumed her life as a guardian. This was until Hyperion took over. The invasion blind sighted the settlement and were ruthless in declaring martial law, an executive was quick to notice Clover and informed Hyperion of the machine, they too were jovial of Clover's existence as their experiments failed. They ordered Clover to reveal the location of her master and threatened the lives of everyone around her if she did not comply. Gladwell revealed herself but ordered Clover to run but refused after she insisted that she would protect her master, Gladwell was imprisoned by a W4R-D3N and Clover turned hostile, literally ripping apart several Hyperion soldiers and then she unleashed her fury upon the W4R-D3N. She did not know that they explode. How could she?
The machine ignited Gladwell with it's destruction and she fell from her suspended container into it's burning maw. There was nothing Clover could do. There was nothing anyone could do. The towns only doctor was just consumed by fire.
It was her fault.
She couldn't protect her.
For months she drifted from town to town, avoiding Hyperion forces, making herself useful where ever she could. She took her masters name, a name like Clover didn't belong in Pandora, she changed it to GLaDW3LL to make her seem more intimidating, more of a machine.
The vault hunters found her hammering the face of some unfortunate Hyperion engineer, they immediately liked her. They told her that she could spend her life killing grunts like the engineer or she could fry a bigger fish. She had found her new masters.
Her skill 'Feral' allows her to charge in a berserk fury, similar to Brick, in this rampage she is capable of running incredible speeds as she uses her arms as a second pair of legs, during this time she is incapable of using weapons and cannot heal. the average use of the skill is 10 seconds with a 20 second cool down.
She was a Dalmation in life and now she is a machine on Pandora, she is a Dahlmation :T
